My wife Melissa and I are the breeders. I got the name from my initials but it also works as Chad and Melissa Briggs. I am very fortunate to have a wife who not only helps me but cares about the dogs as much as I do.
I first saw a Cane Corso back in 2005 when I bought a Dogs USA magazine. Before Cane Corsos I always had German Shepherds. When I was younger I always wanted a Rottweiler or a Doberman. I participated in my first dog show in 2nd grade. That was just for fun but I really enjoyed it. From when I was a young kid I always wanted to breed dogs. When I got old enough I researched several breeds including Cane Corso, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Rottweilers, and Presa Canarios. I decided on Cane Corsos because I felt they were the perfect package. They have an incredible combination of size, athletic ability, protective instincts, and intelligence. I bought my first Cane Corso in 2007. Ice was a great pet. I was inexperienced and bought him out of the newspaper. I was 19 and price shopping. He was a great dog but he had a lot of temperament issues. The guy who I purchased him from never socialized him as a puppy and abused him. Ice was great with us but otherwise very skittish. In 2008 I decided to buy a female as the foundation of my breeding program. I bought Lira as a 21st birthday gift to myself. Lira is a great dog and everything I could have ever asked for in a Cane Corso. Then from Lira's second litter we kept Daisy.
We are hobby breeders. Melissa works as an RN in the ICU of a large hospital. I work for a large web development company in the search engine marketing and web design sales department. Our long term plan with the dogs is to continue breeding the Cane Corsos and eventually start breeding the French Bulldogs.
We thank you fore your time and appreciate your interest in this magnificent breed.
